Letting kids help make their foods and snacks increase the likelihood that they will eat what you put in front of them.

So, it makes sense that if they learn to make foods that look tasty too, then they will develop healthy eating habits or at least have fun trying. Here are a few snacks that are easy to make and fun to eat!

Could strawberries be any cuter? Thanks to ihearumami.com for sharing them on her website. https://iheartumami.com/strawberry-men/ I know that salt was used to keep the apples from turning brown, but I think either lemon juice or vinegar would do the same thing and it should not affect the taste much since you rinse it after a few minutes. Right?

Banana Sushi looks gooey, and we all know kids love that! Thanks to Delish! The recipe is super easy and satisfying.

These easy snacks come from Rachel Talbott. I am posting Rachel’s recipes as well. Her fruit and veggie snack pods are an excellent idea to stay ahead of kids (and parents)! Thank you, Rachel, this is a beautiful DIY!

Pour juice and berries into a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until berries soften. 2. Add honey and stir. 3. Turn the heat off, and quickly whisk in gelatin a little at a time. Whisk vigorously until completely incorporated. Mix the gelatin very gradually to avoid any lumps. 4. Puree mixture using a blender (my magic bullet works great for this! Just be sure to cool slightly before moving over.) 5. Pour into a 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 glass dish. Refrigerate until set (30 minutes to an hour). Cut in small squares.
